NAILTA Accomplishments and Initiatives in 2009
 

1. Incorporated as a 501(c)(6) and received IRS approval. Successfully trademarked our name and logo.
2. Filed Amicus brief in litigation against First American in California.
3. Held Spring Conference in Atlantic City with over 110 people in attendance.
4. Testified before PA Department of Insurance at a public hearing on title insurance issues.
5. Contacted every Department of Insurance in US.
6. Met with ALTA Executive Director, Kurt Pfotenhauer and President, Mike Pryor.
7. Met with PA Senate Policy Leader Dinniman.
8. Met with PA State Representative Hulaska.
9. Met with NJ State Senator Pennachio
10. Met with PA State Representative Harper.
11. Contacted Congressman Sestak Member of Small Business Committee regarding testifying at public hearing.
12. Met with Board of PLTA.
13. Created website.
14. Created platform.
15. Spoke before the PA Mortgage Bankers Association.
16. Wrote to Shaun Donovan, Secretary of HUD, regarding implementation of new RESPA rules.
17. Wrote to PA Attorney General, Tom Corbett.
18. Met with PA State Representative and Chairman of Consumer Affairs Committee, Joe Preston.
