NAILTA Responds to Pennsylvania Attorney General Report

The Attorney General of Pennsylvania in his comments of July 2 responding to the hearings held before the Pennsylvania Insurance Commission on May 28 wrote that ABA’s should be unlawful and “Truly independent title agents may be necessary to prevent fraud.”
The AG continued with  “ABA’s create tremendous opportunities for illegal rebating and referrals” and went on to reference a published report by the Washington State Office of the Insurance Commissioner which stated that illegal inducements and incentives were ” wide-spread and pervasive.”
