| Pennsylvania Attorney General Report on Pitfalls of ABA’s |

The Attorney General of Pennsylvania in his comments of July 2 responding to the hearings held before the Pennsylvania Insurance Commission on May 28 wrote that ABA’s should be unlawful and “Truly independent title agents may be necessary to prevent fraud.” The AG continued with “ABA’s create tremendous opportunities for illegal rebating and referrals” and went on to reference a published report by the Washington State Office of the Insurance Commissioner which stated that illegal inducements and incentives were ” wide-spread and pervasive.” NAILTA members are encouraged to share the PA Attorney General’s letter with their state AG and local and national representatives and ask them to place NAILTA ( This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
